iotcomms.io (IOT Communications International AB) was founded 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden, with the purpose to develop a serverless platform for real-time communications services.
We had seen how the rapidly growing digitalization of society was changing the way we communicate, and how an increasing number of devices, humans and services were being connected to each other. The technology landscape was putting an enormous pressure on R&D organisations to develop faster and more cost-efficient.
With more than 20 years of experience in SIP, VoIP, telecom and critical communications we decided to build a platform with serverless communications building blocks, to help organizations streamline development and provide an effortless product life cycle.
Our cloud-native communications platform provides alarm, voice, and video functionalities for integration in critical real-time applications, services, and business processes, and attracts companies within sectors such as Security & Alarm, Unified Communication, Contact Centers, Smart Buildings and IoT. The platform is built with a serverless backend, microservice software architecture and delivered as APIs and protocol interfaces.
iotcomms.io’s APIs coupled with the company’s deep competence and experience in designing critical communication services, enable Solution Providers to build reliable and secure solutions that scale effortlessly – both in size and globally. In December 2019 Telia Venture invested in the company, joined by Fairpoint Capital and Red Dawn Ventures in June 2021.
